AI Redpen (the “App”) is owned and operated by Beijing Qixiang Business Consulting Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us”). We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our products and services.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to the AI Redpen mobile app and related services. When you use grammar checking, AI vocabulary learning, AI chat, study features, subscriptions, and similar services, you agree that we may process your information as described in this Policy.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
To register, sign in, and use memberships or personalization, we may collect account details such as mobile number, nickname, avatar, and gender; text you enter for grammar checking, AI chat, and vocabulary learning; and conversation and learning data needed to provide the services and to perform required safety and compliance review.
2.2 Information collected automatically
To operate and secure the App, we may collect device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, network type, IP address, app version, usage duration, and feature usage logs. We may use SDKs or similar technologies for this purpose.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide core features (grammar checking, AI vocabulary learning, AI chat, progress, subscriptions); verify identity and protect accounts; improve the product, analytics, and models; conduct safety and compliance review; handle complaints and disputes; and comply with law or lawful requests.
4. Sharing, transfer, and disclosure
We do not share personal information with third parties except: with your clear consent; to meet legal obligations or respond to lawful requests; for mergers, acquisitions, or asset transfers where the successor remains bound by this Policy; or where necessary to protect our, your, or others’ lawful rights. We do not sell your personal information. We do not publicly disclose personal information except as required by law or with your consent.
5. Storage and security
We store personal information in the People’s Republic of China unless law requires otherwise—in which case we seek consent and meet regulatory requirements. We use reasonable measures (such as encryption, access controls, and audits) and limit access to authorized personnel. Please protect your account credentials and contact us if you believe they are compromised.
6. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, account deletion, or copies of your personal information, as applicable. Use in-app “Settings – Account” or the contacts at the end of this Policy. We will respond within legally required timeframes.
7. Children and minors
We take the protection of minors’ personal information seriously and comply with applicable laws such as the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Law on the Protection of Minors. If you are under the age of fourteen, you must read this Policy and our Children’s Privacy Policy together with a parent or guardian and may use the App only with the guardian’s explicit consent. If you are between fourteen and eighteen, we recommend using the services with a guardian’s guidance.
We follow the “minimum necessary” principle when processing information relating to minors and do not actively determine users’ ages. If we learn that a user is a child or a minor lacking capacity and we must obtain guardian consent or apply restrictions, we will do so as required by law. If we find that we have collected a child’s personal information without verifiable guardian consent, we will delete the relevant data as soon as practicable.
8. Policy updates
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you in the App (for example via dialog, notice, or an updated policy screen) and seek consent again where law requires. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Policy.
9. Account deletion and restoration
You may request deletion of your AI Redpen account. You can start the process in the App under Settings – Account – Delete account. For security, SMS verification is required before deletion.
After you confirm, your account enters a 15-calendar-day cooling-off period. During this period the account is “pending deletion”; you may complete the Restore account flow with SMS verification to restore it.
During the cooling-off period you cannot sign in or use the services with that account, and you cannot register a new account with the same mobile number.
After the cooling-off period ends, the account information and data will be deleted; the original mobile number may be used to register again.
Where permitted by law, we may retain certain information such as audit logs, security logs, order records, and other information that laws or regulations require us to keep.
