AI Redpen Children’s Privacy Policy

AI Redpen (the “App”) is operated by us, Beijing Qixiang Business Consulting Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us”). We know how important it is to protect children’s and minors’ personal information. This Children’s Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we process related information when we provide services to minors, following principles such as minimum necessity, clear notice, and guardian consent where required. This Policy supplements our Privacy Policy; if they conflict, this Policy governs personal information relating to minors.

1. Scope and special notice

1.1 If you are under fourteen, you must read this Policy with a parent or guardian and may use the App only with the guardian’s explicit guidance and consent. If you are between fourteen and eighteen, you should use the services with a guardian’s consent or guidance.

1.2 We do not actively determine users’ ages. If we reasonably learn that a user is a child or a minor lacking capacity, we will obtain guardian consent or restrict collection and use as required by law.

2. What we collect

2.1 We follow the “minimum necessary” principle: we process only what is needed for educational and learning-assistance features, such as mobile number, nickname, and avatar for registration and sign-in, and learning-related data you enter or generate when using grammar checking, AI chat, vocabulary learning, and similar features.

2.2 For security and compliance, we may collect technical information such as device identifiers, IP address, app version, and usage logs as described in the Privacy Policy, and we will not go beyond what is necessary to provide the product.

2.3 Unless otherwise required by law or with separate guardian consent, we will not ask children or minors to provide sensitive personal information unrelated to education or learning assistance.

3. How we use and store information

3.1 We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy and the Privacy Policy; we will delete or anonymize it when retention is no longer required, except where laws require retention.

3.2 We will not use children’s or minors’ personal information for marketing scenarios that do not match their age or cognition; without guardian consent, we will not use it for commercial push or profiling (except where required by law).

4. Sharing, transfer, and public disclosure

In principle, we do not share or transfer children’s or minors’ personal information with third parties. Where processing by a vendor or lawful sharing is necessary, we assess necessity, require protection at least as strong as ours, and inform guardians or obtain consent as required by law (unless the law provides otherwise).

5. Rights of guardians and minors

5.1 Guardians may access, correct, or delete personal information relating to the child, withdraw consent for specific processing, and contact us via in-app “Settings – Contact us” or the channels at the end of this Policy.

5.2 If we find that we collected a child’s personal information without verifiable guardian consent, we will delete the relevant data as soon as practicable.

6. Security

We use technical and administrative measures consistent with industry practice, restrict access, and train staff on security and compliance. If a breach or likely breach occurs, we will take remedial steps and notify users and regulators as required by law.

7. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you in the App as appropriate; if processing rules change materially, we will obtain guardian consent again where required by law.
